LAFAYETTE--State Sen. Gerald Boudreaux (D-Lafayette) issued a statement on Tuesday criticizing the Lafayette Public Library Board of Control's decision to reject a Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities grant to pay for a program to discuss the history of voting rights in the United States. On Thursday, Sen. Boudreaux was on Acadiana's Morning News to further explain his position, the optics of the board's decision, and why the topic is important especially in the context of Black History Month.
