In an audit investigating the accountability of South Louisiana Community College’s use of public funds, state Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera, listed several shortfalls within the school’s accounting department. At the top of the list of administrative insufficiencies, the report states the college did not follow regulations of the Federal Pell Grant System for the past seven years. The school is cited with failing to return Pell Grant funds from withdrawn students to the U.S. Department of Education.
