SLCC Postpones Graduation

We are learning a lot about learning during times of crisis. One of the things that we have learned over the past month or so is that you no longer have to go to school to attend classes. South Louisiana Community College is joining LSU and UL in the online offering of their curriculums as well.

All of Louisiana's Community and Technical Colleges are moving to online classes either this Monday or next Monday, depending on when each college begins spring break.

SLCC has also announced the postponement of commencement ceremonies. There are plans to honor the achievements of students at a later date. However, that date has yet to be determined.

One other curriculum change for prospective SLCC students, the Nursing Department has temporarily suspended accepting and evaluating applications to the nursing and registered nursing programs. However, once the transition to online learning has been completed the suspension will be lifted.
