Body of a Four-Year-Old Child Found in New Iberia Residence

Iberia Parish authorities say the body of a four-year-old child was found Thursday inside a residence in New Iberia. Detective Ashley Irby says the body was found in a mobile home in the 11-hundred block of Spencer Loop around 12:45 p.m. Irby says the parish coroner has not yet determined the cause of death, but the case is being investigated as a homicide. The name of the child has not been released.
