Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., (R-Southwest Louisiana), today announced he will host the Global Access Small Business Exporter Forum with Export-Import Bank Chairman and President Fred P. Hochberg.

“This event is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to speak to and interact with experts on improving their global reach,” Boustany said. “I am pleased that Chairman Hochberg will be joining us in Lafayette to lend his expertise to South Louisiana businesses.”

The event will provide businesses the opportunity to speak with government officials and experts about how to find new buyers and access useful marketing data, and allow them to network with trade specialists.  The event is tailored to address the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

Louisiana plays a prominent role in the global stage, with one in five jobs in Louisiana dependent on trade.  Louisiana is currently America’s fourth largest exporter to China with over $2.7 billion in exports through the third quarter of 2010.
There are a limited number of seats available, and registration is required for this free event. Register online at www.exim.gov/gasb.
