4:43 p.m. Thursday, April 26: The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office says all three suspects in the robbery have been caught.

3:19 p.m. Thursday, April 26: School officials in Acadia Parish have placed Mire Elementary School on lockdown following a suspected robbery in the nearby community.

Superintendent Johnny Bourque says the lockdown is merely a precaution, since the suspects in that robbery have not yet been captured. Students will remain at the school until the sheriff's office deems the area safe.

Sheriff's officials, meanwhile say they are looking for three black males who broke into the home near Church Point. The homeowner says the trio fled from the scene.

The sheriff's office advises caution if you're in the area, and they ask that you immediately report any suspicious activity.
