Results of the Sun Belt football coaches votes from the annual preseason coaches poll for the league were released today, and Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team is picked to finish 2nd in the league.

Louisiana received 3 first placed votes, and 108 vote points overall.

Georgia Southern, who received 6 first place votes and 110 vote points is the coaches pick to win the league.

Louisiana is coming off their 4th consecutive 9-4 season and 4th straight R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl championship.

The Cajuns season kicks off in 50 days when Louisiana visits Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats out of the SEC.

Kickoff on September 5th is set for 6:00pm.
