The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns should have felt good about this game against Troy coming into Saturday but I don't think anyone could have predicted that the Cajuns would dominate the Trojans in every facet of the ballgame and win 53-3. The win gave Louisiana their second consecutive Sun Belt West Division Title.

The Cajuns had every one of their star running backs, Trey Ragas, Raymond Calais, and Elijah Mitchell score a touchdown on the ground in the first half. That was the third time that had happened this season.

Levi Lewis was also rolling in the first half taking advantage of a soft Trojans secondary as he threw for nearly 190 yards in the first half. Louisiana would lead 31-3 at the half.

As for the defense, they absolutely shut down one of the best quarterbacks in the country in Kaleb Barker. For Barker, it was perhaps one of the worst days of his football career as he went 15/32, 178 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Troy's offense just looked out of sync all game long and conversely, the UL defense was just suffocating and completely dominated the Trojans. They forced the two interceptions, a forced fumble, and recorded a safety for the first time since 2014.

Overall, Levi Lewis was 21/33 for 273 yards, one score, and no interceptions. Jai'ave Magalei also got an opportunity to enter the ballgame and was 6/6 for 71 yards.

On the ground, I mentioned that Ragas, Calais, and Mitchell scored but Ragas added another and Chris Smith got one on a really impressive 80-yard run for a touchdown.

Here's a look at the rest of the box score.

With the win, Louisiana improved to 9-2 on the season and 6-1 in the Sun Belt Conference and of course their second consecutive Sun Belt West Division crown.

Coming up next will be the final regular-season game of the year as rival ULM enters Cajun Field next Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and it'll be televised on ESPNU.
