Louisiana State Police Troop D has scheduled a seat belt and sobriety checkpoint planned for this Friday evening starting at 8 p.m. and lasting until Saturday morning at 2 o'clock at an undisclosed location in Calcasieu Parish.

State Police plan to remove impaired drivers from our roadways, and they will ticket anyone who is not buckled up.

They remind drivers that state law requires everyone in a car to be properly restrained at all times.

So what do you do if you think you see an impaired driver? State says you can call *LSP (*577) or your local law enforcement to report any impaired driver.
