Campaign Aims To Stop Impaired Driving
There is an annual campaign that is conducted in the state and across the nation to bring more attention to the problem of impaired driving.
The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign will start this Monday, July 1 and run through Sunday, July 7.
Just like they do each day, law enforcement officers in Lafayette will be targeting impaired drivers to make sure they are removed from our roadways.
The campaign is another reminder to drivers that having drugs or alcohol in your system while operating a motor vehicle can lead to deadly consequences.
Saturation patrols will happen during the July fourth holiday period. You will see more officers on the roadway removing impaired motorists.
