Chris Ivory has signed his one-year restricted free agent tender with the New Orleans Saints. The deal is worth $2.023 million for the 2013 season.

New Orleans restricted Ivory with a second-round tender. While the New York Jets brought Ivory in for a visit, chances of the Jets giving up their second round pick (number 39 overall) in the upcoming draft was slim.

However, the possibility of Ivory being traded remains in play. The Saints only have 5 picks in the upcoming draft, and would be willing to listen to trade offers for the bruising running back out of Tiffin.

In addition to Ivory, the Saints carried 4 other running backs on the roster last year. Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles, Mark Ingram, and Travaris Cadet all received playing time in the crowded backfield.

Manish Mehta of the New York York Daily News tweeted out the following: "Jets have made an offer for Saints RB Chris Ivory, who signed his RFA tender today. #NYJ still wants to trade for him, per sources."

Stay tuned.
