Christmas In Scott Kicks Off Wednesday

Christmas in Scott 2014 officially kicks off tomorrow night with the lighting of the town Christmas tree.

The event, which is free of charge, will be held tomorrow night from 6 to 8 at the corner of St. Mary and Cayret Streets in Scott near the railroad tracks.

The event will feature entertainment by the Unity Christian Academy, Valerie Vocals, Ossun Elementary School and Westside Elementary School.

There will be a farmer's market for shopping, and there will be free activities for everyone with the culmination of the event when officials light the tree.
