Church Point Man Arrested For Armed Robbery

A Church Point man was arrested after he allegedly cut off a vehicle, then pulled out a gun and robbed the occupants of the truck.

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says that all of this happened on Maggie Lane after 20-year-old Zachary Daigle robbed the men of their cash.

He says the victims were able to give Sheriff's investigators a partial license plate number, a vehicle description and a a description of the suspect, and those investigators got right to work.

A deputy patrolling in Church Point saw a vehicle matching the description, which lead to recovery of the gun and Daigle's arrest.

Daigle was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail, and his bond was set at $100,000.
