Lafayette Police Looking For Armed Robbery Suspect

Lafayette Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect after a robbery of a convenience store at 1339 Southeast Evangeline Thruway at around 4:30 this morning.

Responding officers say a black male suspect was armed with a handgun when he went into the store and demanded money.

The man took off on foot after getting an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as being about five feet ten inches tall wearing a black t-shirt along with red and white shoes. The suspect was described as being about 20 years of age.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers 232-TIPS.
