Desperado's Cabaret, a Lafayette gentleman's club raided by federal authorities last week, has now had their liquor license yanked.  The suspension of their liquor license will be for at least 30 days.

The license was originally pulled when the raid by Drug Enforcement Agency agents took place on December 5th.  Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control Commissioner Troy Hebert has now extended the suspension for 30 days after he heard testimony at an administrative hearing.  He requested the club provide more information about what happened.  Another hearing has been set for January 9th.

As part of an ongoing undercover operation, DEA agents raided Desperado's club last week after an investigation revealed that illegal drugs were being purchased at the club.  Several employees of Desperado's were arrested on drug charges as a result of the raid.
