Drug Bust At St. Mary Parish Parking Lot

Narcotics agents with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office saw two men sitting in a parked car at the Bayou Vista Truck Stop on Highway 182, and they knew one of the men, 31-year-old Mark Hilliard, had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Deputies say they talked to Hilliard and his passenger, 32-year-old Herman Delco.

Agents say Delco was found to have a bag of several rocks of crack, and later during their search, deputies also found crack on Hilliard.

Delco was arrested for possession of crack cocaine.

Hilliard was arrested on the following:

• Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine, Possession Schedule I drugs 2^nd offense, Possession of marijuana 2^nd offense, and Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Warrant from the Patterson Police Department for sexual battery and theft
