Crowley Stine Employee Pepper Sprayed By Thief
Crowley Police officials are asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect who allegedly stole merchandise from the Crowley Stine store and assaulted a store employee who attempted to stop the crime.
Crowley Police officials say the suspect is seen on surveillance video stealing a $1,000 pressure washer from the home improvement store. The reason the thief was so successful in his thieving was that he allegedly pepper-sprayed an employee's eyes.
The suspect allegedly took a Stihl pressure washer and was waltzing out the door when the manager tried to stop the thief.
Officials with the Crowley Police Department say the suspect is described as a black male who was wearing dark coveralls at the time of the theft. He was also wearing a mask along with a white covering on his head. He is described as being of medium build.
Police say this man fled in a 4-door pick-up truck, but no further details were provided.
