Eunice Man Arrested In Gun Case

Frank Best Marine in Eunice has been the sight of multiple burglaries in the past several months according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux.

He says that they have arrested 40-year-old Joshua P. Billedeau for one count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

The crimes were featured on a segment of St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers, and Thibodeaux says tips began to flow in leading detectives to arrest Billedeau.

Thibodeaux says tips came in about one of the burglaries of the business January 21 when thirteen guns were stolen.

When questioned by St. Landry Parish detectives and ATF officials Billedeau said he did have a gun, one he got from Madison Boone.

Police say Boone was arrested last week in connection with several burglaries.
