Family Flees Fire

While no one once to have to deal with the tragedy of fire, if there is good news, it's that the family members walked away with their lives.

Three members of a family fled to safety Thursday when a fire broke out in their home on Duke Street in Broussard shortly after 4 a.m. Firefighters discovered the home fully engulfed in flames on arrival. The residence was destroyed. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
