Sunday morning Eunice Police responded to a call from a home at the intersection of Benoit and Cotton Streets where they found three people suffering lacerations and other injuries.

The couple and their daughter were asleep when their home was broken into by five people, one of whom was armed with a handgun.  All three of the victims say they were beaten with a pole and a metal rod while the suspects demanded the keys to their car.  The five suspects drove off in a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria.  The car, equipped with a GPS tracking device was recovered in Lafayette Parish and the five alleged suspects were arrested.

Two adults were charged with unauthorized use of a moveable while three teens were booked on several charges including home invasion, armed robbery, and illegal carrying of weapons. The case is still under investigation with other charges pending.
