A Franklin man will have to pay a steep fine on alligator violations. Officials with the state's Department of Wildlife and Fisheries say Daniel Edgar pleaded guilty to taking alligators from an unapproved area back in 2006. Investigators say Edgar had alligator lines set up in the Atchafalaya Basin, but he didn't tags for where those lines were set. Edgar has been ordered to pay a 2-thousand dollar fine.
