Games Of Acadiana This Weekend

Today on 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' Lacey Shelton, Community Liaison with  Miles Perret Cancer Services invited everyone to the Games of Acadiana this weekend.  The Games of Acadiana will take place Saturday August 18, 2012 at the Cajundome and Cajundome Convention Center from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

We asked Shelton to describe the services that are provided by Miles Perret Cancer Services and she said,

"We offer services like nutritional supplements, wigs, mastectomy items and programs for survivors of all ages.  We try to fill any gaps we can with programs like 'Smiles for Miles' a monthly family outing, our "Back to School' program and our Giving Tree ."

The Games of Acadiana is a free family fun day funded by corporate donations but Shelton said donations of any size are always welcomed.  More information on the Games of Acadiana or services provided can be found at www.milesperret.org.
