Hurricane Sally has come and gone, but the impacts of the storm will linger for weeks and months ahead for some folks.

According to a number of reports, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and the area of Fort Morgan are closed to visitors for at least 10 days. Yes, that area of the gulf coast was hit that hard with wind and rain.

Those who are there now visiting can leave, but no new visitors will be allowed back in. A number of entryways have been closed and only workers with proper identification credentials are allowed to enter.

So, if you were planning on visiting the area anytime soon, you will want to contact the person(s) you may have rented from to assess your reservations.

Much of the area is without power and it may be several days before power can be restored to the area.
