Last weekend I spent most of the day Saturday moving my daughter to her new apartment in Houston. On the following Sunday, I spent most of the day reclaiming my garage from all the stuff that she had stored there. It was then I realized. I have a lot of crap. Most of it I don't need or use.

If you find yourself in a similar situation or mindset and happen to live in Iberia Parish then there is good news for you. You will have the means to dispose of your unwanted items properly at the Iberia Parish Household Waste Day. It has been scheduled for Saturday, October 17th.

If you're a resident of Iberia Parish, yes you will be asked to show an ID, you may bring most common household items by the courthouse parking lot on October 17th between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm. By the way, you'll want to use the rear parking lot at the corner of Pershing and Providence Streets.

What can you bring? Well according to a story on the KATC website, here's the list of what is allowed.
