Huge Marijuana Bust On I-10

A traffic violation turns into a huge drug bust. State Police say Sylvester Leroy Stubbs, Jr. of Picayune, Mississippi, was driving his jeep on I-10 eastbound near Welsh when a trooper noticed him following too closely behind another vehicle. So the trooper pulled Stubbs over. When the trooper asked to search his jeep, he says Stubbs refused to let him do so. Another trooper was called to the scene with a K-9 helper. That's when authorities found 116 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $116,000 inside the rear cargo area of the jeep. Stubbs was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish jail.
