I Got A Text From A Strange Number

I received a text from a strange number today and I wondered "who texted me from 361 322 1587?".

An area code search showed that the text came from South Texas, and it contained a few typographical errors, along with a URL (web link). Needless to say, I didn't click the link and I deleted the text soon after the screengrab.

Here's how the text read:

Re funds on purchase for JOHN in Abbeville. We approved your re funds for your order. It is added. To see the details, go here http:// ________ (I won't put the link, as it is probably malicious in nature).

The Federal Trade Commission advises that you NEVER click on a link in an unsolicited email, text or other forms of messaging.
