Iberia Robbery Suspect Runs From Victim

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says deputies responded to a call of an attempted robbery at 11:26am today and discovered the victim had chased off the suspect. The incident happened in the 700 block of West Avenue when a 78 year old man was approached by a young black man who implied he had a handgun under his shirt and demanded money. The victim went back into his home and retrieved a handgun and confronted the suspect who ran off.
