The Knights of Columbus will hold a flag raising ceremony on Monday, July 4th. It will take place on the grounds of Lafayette public library, 301 W. Congress. The Boy Scouts of America, and several veterans groups will also participate. The flag, provided by congressman Charles Boustany, has flown over the US Capital. It will be presented to the library by The Bishop Dubourg Assembly 315 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. The National Anthem will be played. There will be a ceremonial folding of the old flag. The event begins at 10 am. The public is invited.
