Lineman Electrocuted and Killed While Restoring Power in Texas
A Texas lineman was tragically killed while working and restoring power lines after an early morning storm.
TEXAS STORMS SHUT DOWN POWER
Linemen have swarmed across Texas trying to fully restore power after a flurry of storms left more than 640,000 people without power. While working on a power line, 34-year-old Scott Balentine was tragically electrocuted.
Balentine was rushed to the hospital however, he sadly passed away from his injuries.
A HUSBAND, FATHER, AND LINEMAN
The 34-year-old lineman was a husband and father to a 12-year-old daughter.
General Manager of Farmers Electric Cooperative, Mark Stubbs, expressed his condolences:
"This is a very sad time for everyone who knew Scott. He was not just a colleague, but a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time."
