(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - Former LSU Football Coach Brian, who is now working for CBS Sports, recently predicted the games LSU football will win and lose for the 20267-27 season.

The former head coach of the Tigers, who was released on October 26, 2025, accepted a buyout from LSU for $54 million, so perhaps that is why he showed the Tigers some "Love" when predicting how they'll do this upcoming football season.

Kelly, who is not part of the national media, believes that the team he coached last football season will be much improved, and he had some encouraging words when discussing the revamped Tigers under the leadership of Lane Kiffin.

Look, it's no secret: if you play in the Southeastern Conference, you are going to have a difficult schedule every year, and going undefeated is very rare. But can the LSU Tigers get back to competing for a national championship? Brian Kelly thinks that they can.

The Tigers have done exceptionally well in recruiting, but more so in this NIL era in college football, LSU has been great at recruiting others from opposing teams and universities. According to many of the "experts" in college football, LSU is right where they need to be to start the 2026 season, and now fans have high expectations once again for the Tigers.

LSU Football Schedule

LSU opens its season with Clemson in Baton Rouge on September 5, but it has some very difficult road games, and the former LSU coach thinks the Tigers will drop an early game when they travel to Mississippi.

Kelly also thinks LSU drops an important home game in Baton Rouge, and no, it's not when Alabama rolls into Tiger Stadium. If true, LSU would finish the regular season at 10-2, and that could put them in the college football playoff bracket.
