If you play Powerball in Louisiana you need to check your tickets because a winning ticket is about to expire.

Someone in the "Bayou State" purchased a Powerball ticket on April 6 and that ticket is worth $50,000 and they have yet to claim their winnings.

The winning ticket was sold in New Orleans at Lakeview Discount on Harrison Avenue.

If you need the numbers to check for that drawing they were: 22-27-44-52-69 and the Powerball was 09.

According to Lottery officials, the winner has until 5 p.m. on Oct. 3 to claim their winnings. If you have this winning ticket you will need to claim your cash at one of five lottery regional offices in the state.

So, if you were in the New Orleans area in early April and purchased a Powerball ticket find it and check your numbers. Imagine having an extra $50,000 in your possession and not even knowing it.

Best of luck and we hope that the winner comes forth to claim their prize, I mean the holidays are rapidly approaching and that extra cash could come in handy.
