Latest Lafayette, Louisiana Businesses to Announce Openings
The comings and goings amongst the business community in Lafayette, Louisiana can sometimes be fast and furious.
We never enjoy reporting on the closures so we're happy to just stick to places opening up soon in the area.
Here is some of the latest news regarding new businesses coming to the Acadiana area.
Noodles & Dumplings in Lafayette
Developing Lafayette was the first to report that a Texas-based restaurant called Noodles & Dumplings is coming soon to the former Red Anchor space located at 5621 Johnston Street.
Noodles and Dumplings offers authentic Chinese cuisine with authentic flavors with the vibrant energy of East Asia. The menu includes items such as Pork Scallion Dumplings, Orange Chicken, LanZhou Spicy Beef Noodles, and more.
According to their website, they have 10 locations across Texas.
An exact opening date has not been announced but Developing Lafayette said that renovations are underway and they suspect the restaurant is "probably a couple of months out from opening."
Slim Chickens in Lafayette
The Acadiana Advocate is reporting that Slim Chickens, a fast-growing northwest Arkansas-based chain, has announced that it will expand into Louisiana with seven locations.
One of those locations will be in Lafayette Parish. (Although the exact location has not been revealed yet.
Slim Chickens also plans to open in the Baton Rouge, Alexandria, and St. Tammany Parish markets, according to officials with the company.
Slim Chickens serves a variety of menu items including chicken wings, chicken tenders, mac bowls, chicken sandwiches, chicken & waffles, and more.
The Back Yard Food Truck Park in Opelousas
Admittedly, we don't know much about this one. But, there is a Facebook page for something called "The Backyard Food Truck Park" coming soon to Opelousas.
The above was posted on March 12 with little other information available.
The location listed on the Facebook page is 14750 Hwy 90 in Opelousas.
