
LSU Will Display 10 Commandments in Classrooms
BATON ROUGE, La. (KMDL-FM) - LSU has announced plans to display the 10 Commandments in classrooms across campus according to LSU President Wade Rousse.

LSU President Wade Rousse has announced in compliance with Louisiana state law, LSU will soon begin displaying the 10 commandments in classrooms on campus. In 2024 a house bill was passed requiring the state to post the Ten Commandments in every K-12 classroom. This law also applies to colleges and universities that accept money from the state of Louisiana.

Personally, I think shining a light on God is never a negative thing, but that’s just a personal statement of mine. We’re going to move as quickly as we need to to stay in compliance with the law.

As of now, no timeline has been given as to exactly when LSU will officially display the 10 Commandments in classrooms but the university says they are waiting on the posters to be donated.
What the Louisiana Ten Commandments Law Is
Louisiana’s legislature passed House Bill 71, signed by Republican Governor Jeff Landry in June 2024, which directs public schools to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom from kindergarten through state-funded universities.

Under this law (Act 676), each classroom must have a display of the Ten Commandments on a poster or framed document that is at least 11 × 14 inches with the text in a large, easily readable font.
