The Shreveport Police Department says the woman accused in a viral Mardi Gras parade confrontation is now in custody.

Police confirmed that Georgie Creamer turned herself in and was booked into the Shreveport City Jail in connection with the February 7 incident along the Krewe of Centaur parade route.

Investigation Stemmed From Viral Video

The altercation happened in the 2200 block of Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway during the parade, which drew massive crowds. Investigators previously said video shared widely on social media and witness statements played a key role in identifying the suspect.

Authorities allege Creamer used loud and profane language in a public setting and threw a cup containing liquid that struck an adult woman and a small child.

Police Thank Public, Issue Warning

Shreveport Police thanked citizens and witnesses who assisted in the investigation and said they hope the outcome serves as a deterrent against inappropriate or criminal behavior in public settings.

Officials also issued a warning about online reactions, reminding the public there is a fine line between lawful expression on social media and criminal conduct. Police say threats directed at individuals or their families will not be tolerated and could result in criminal charges.
