‘Friday’ Star John Witherspoon Has Passed Away

Sad news.

Actor/Comedian John Witherspoon has passed away at the age of 77.

He may be best known for his role in the movies "Friday" where he played the role of Ice Cube's father.

Witherspoon's family posted a message announcing his passing on his Twitter page Tuesday night. The actor died at his home in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
