Report: Kanye West Bringing His ‘Sunday Service’ Gospel To Baton Rouge On Friday
Yeezy is coming to Baton Rouge.
After much excitement over Lizzo's surprise visit to BR to record a music video with Southern's 'Human Jukebox' Band, Kanye West will be the next major celebrity to visit the city.
According to WAFB, his popular 'Sunday Service' gospel will be in Baton Rouge for a special event.
On Friday, Nov. 1, Bethany Church, located at 11107 Reiger Rd., will host Kanye’s journey through Christianity, backed by an 80-piece chorus and band ensemble. The performance has served as the muse for his latest album, Jesus is King.
The event will be held on the grassy lawn in front of the massive crosses that you've seen from I-10.
Kanye's 'Sunday Service' debuted at Coachella in April and has been touring the country ever since. According to the WAFB report parking will be available at Bethany Church and Office Depot on Siegan Lane. Early arrival is encouraged.
Some social media users are fearing this could be a scam, but others are excited and looking to be a part of the action.
The pastor of the church posted this message on Facebook to provide a little clarity on the Kanye event.
A "Brunchella" event will be held the same day at the church and will be available for those who buy tickets.
