In this edition of Lafayette Live, it was City-Parish Councilwoman Liz Webb Hebert's turn in the rotation to talk with "Acadiana's Morning News" and to its listeners.

First, host Rob Kirkpatrick and councilwoman Webb Hebert discussed safe zones and safe families exchange sites and how they would seek to prevent robberies when people meet up and how they could help children whose separated parents are meeting up, especially if those parents don't get along at all. Basically, police officers would be present for these incidents to make sure no laws are broken and no victims are made. She talked about how the idea came about and what the benefit would be.

Next, they tackled the budget issue and the Council's vote this week to bolster the municipality's legal fund by $675,000.00. Councilwoman Webb Hebert filled us in on many of the details.
