Lafayette Police Conduct Underage Alcohol Operation, Issue 7 Citations

LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Seven underage drinkers were cited for being in possession of alcohol during a routine operation in Lafayette Friday night.

Cpl. Paul Mouton, spokesperson for the Lafayette Police Department, says the citations were issued at two different bars. Two of the citations were issued at the Bulldog on General Mouton and four others were cited at the Keg on McKinley Street.

A total of 13 businesses were checked, the majority of them in or near downtown Lafayette, Mouton says.
