Little Rock Man Dead After Morning Crash

Louisiana State Police say a man is dead after a crash on Highway 90 near Highway 85.  Police say that just after 3 o'clock this morning 48-year-old Keith Goeman of Little Rock, Arkansas, was driving his truck down highway 90 behind a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, George Austin of Austin, Texas was transporting a hazardous material, had just stopped at the railroad crossing in the road.  Troopers says Goeman hit the 18-wheeler from behind.  He was  pronounced dead at the scene by the Iberia Parish Coroner.

Troopers are still investigating whether or not Goeman was properly restrained.  Austin, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured in the crash.

Routine toxicology samples were obtained, and those results are pending. This crash remains under investigation.
