Longterm Road Closures In Lafayette Starting This Week

Here are 2 road closures happening in Lafayette that are scheduled to last past this week:

• Verot School Road: will be closed at its intersection with Failla Raod until 7 PM Wednesday, June 28, as workers continue the Verot School Road widening project. The detour route will include La Neuville Road and Ambassador Caffery Parkway as detour signs will be posted.
• Shadow Bluff Drive: will be closed to thru traffic beginning Thursday as crews conduct bridge construction. This is expected to last about 8 months as part of the I-10 widening project that will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge, which is expected to be completed in Fall 2019. The detour includes Louisiana Avenue to West Pont Des Mouton Road.
