
Louisiana Grandmother Arrested for Abusing Grandson on Facebook Live
A woman from Baton Rouge was arrested after a disturbing video showed her abusing her 5-year-old grandson.

Baton Rouge Police officers arrived at a residence on West Grant Street at 3 pm on Tuesday, February 4th, after a complaint from a concerned citizen about a child being abused. The concerned citizen told police that she saw the child being abused during a Facebook Live video.
Authorities watched multiple videos where a woman was hitting a child repeatedly. In the videos, Pauline Knighten is slapping her grandson in the face.
Due to the nature of the incident, she was charged with cruelty to juveniles.
Knighten was taken into custody that same afternoon and is currently being held at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Police have not released further details about the child's condition or whether additional charges may be filed. The investigation remains ongoing.
