Officials with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office say it was a complaint to deputies that started an investigation into a Breaux Bridge man who is accused of multiple counts of sex trafficking of children. Sheriff Becket Breaux adds that the investigation is not over.

Sheriff Breaux says their investigation into 32-year-old Javien Demouchet began after a complaint was made that there might have been indecent behavior with a juvenile. Investigators say they have information that Demouchet was enticing minors to engage in sexual activity in exchange for money and/or gifts.

Decouchet was arrested and booked on the following charges:

LA. R.S. 14:46.3-Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes-59 counts (Regarding One Juvenile Victim)

Breaux says this case involves one juvenile, but that does not mean their investigation stops. He says they will continue to investigate the case and follow leads.

Demouchet was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center Tuesday afternoon.

Quoting the Sheriff's Office:

"This arrest stems from one juvenile victim. The investigation remains ongoing regarding other juvenile victims, which will result in additional charges."
