Finally, news everyone can celebrate together.

Some things go far beyond "party lines". Simply put, some things are absoltuely wrong and have no place in the world. Human trafficking is certainly one of those things.

Our great state has recieved a grant of $1.2 Million that will go directly to child victims of human trafficking. Believe it or not, over 680 adults and juveniles in our state identified as victims of human trafficking last year alone.

Louisiana is one of only seven states since 2015 to receive this type of funding, which will be used on a project known as the Louisiana Child Trafficking Collaborative.

Governor John Bel Edwards says the money is needed and goes on to say, "I assure you that while the numbers are grim, we are making a difference and we are going to make a bigger difference going forward."
