The top-ranked Tigers put on a show for the ages Saturday, racing out to a 49-14 halftime lead and thrashing Oklahoma 63-28 and securing a spot in the College Football Playoff Championship game.

Burrow's seven first half touchdown passes tied an FBS record.  Only one of LSU's scoring drives in the first half was longer than three minutes (3:10).  He finished the game 29-39 for 493 yards.  Jefferson caught 14 passes for 227 yards.  The Tigers amassed 692 yards of total offense, compared to 322 for Oklahoma.

LSU's first drive of the second half was nearly five minutes and culminated in Burrow scoring on a three yard run to make the score 56-14.

Oklahoma got a touchdown run from Jalen Hurts, his second of the day in the third quarter and T.J. Pledger ran for a score in the fourth for the final Oklahoma points.

LSU got their final score with 3:59 to play on a six yard run by John Emery, Jr.  Quarterback Myles Brennan was 3-3 for 39 yards on the drive.

Hurts finished the game 15-32 for 217 yards and an interception.
