More Investigation Of Fatality On Highway 90

Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators are asking anyone who might have information about the death of a pedestrian earlier this week on Highway 90.

A traffic crash happened in the 2900 block of the South West Evangeline Thruway near the 100 block of Garber Road.

Police believe that pedestrian, Vivian Sue Travis, was trying to cross the roadway when she was hit by the passenger mirror of a White Chevry Silverado.

Travis died at the scene of the crash which happened around 5:48 Tuesday morning.

No charges has been filed in the case.

Traffic investigators want anyone who might have witnessed the crash to call their traffic unit at 291-8600.
