Ronald Wayne White retired as an E-7 from the Navy after serving in the Persian Gulf, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He apparently died alone in his home in Desoto, Texas, and was found by a maintenance worker after being dead for three years. He's originally from Shreveport. His celebration of life was at Morning Star Baptist Church. His service was at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans' Cemetery in Keithville.

About 100 people showed up to honor Ronald “Jones” White, remembering a man who liked to have fun with his friends but also a man who would do anything to help someone. He is survived by his children Ronald and Ronisha, two grandchildren, his Mother Doris, four brothers and a sister.

This story serves as a reminder to always check up on loved ones especially elderly veterans. And, if you haven't been able to reach a loved one after a long period of time, the police will perform a wellness check to make sure they are alright.
