Governor Bobby Jindal will not be alone this coming governors race. Governor Jindal now has five challengers to race against. One of the runners is Tara Hollis, a democrat who says that she voted for Jindal in 2007, but now feels as though he has failed to live up to his promises. Another is Metairie attourney Cary Deaton who is running because he is deeply concerned with preserving the future of social security.

Rumors have speculated that New Orleans businessman John Georges is set to run. He ran unsuccessfully against Jindal in 2007 as an independent. If he were to submit his qualification papers before the deadline today, he would be the most financed runner pitting against Jindal. The deadline is at 5:00 P.M.
