
Numerous Prep Players Visit UL Football During Homecoming
A number of talented prep players from the state of Louisiana were in town for homecoming festivities at Cajun Field over the weekend.
What they witnessed was a 31-3 triumph by the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns over the Texas St. Bobcats on Saturday, UL's 6th victory of the season.
Just a few of those in visiting the Cajuns over the weekend were Garret Wilson, Jacoby Celestine, Ethan Laing, Noah Bellow, Logan Wilcox, Daniel Hawthorne, and Dylan Mehrotra.
Wilson is a long snapper who attends Walker High School. He is scheduled to graduate high school in the spring of 2021.
A defensive end who attends Hahnville High School, Celestine is slated to graduate high school in 2021.
A receiver at Lafayette Christian Academy, Laing will graduate from the prep ranks next spring.
A teammate of Laing's at LCA, Bellow, an offensive lineman, will also graduate next spring.
Another prep standout who is scheduled to graduate next spring, Wilcox is a tight end for Central Lafourche High School.
A long snapper with West Monroe High School, Hawthorne is slated to graduate high school next spring.
Mehrotra, a quarterback who attends Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge, is slated to graduate in the spring of 2021.
