Opelousas Man Allegedly Uses Brass Knuckles To Beat Juvenile

17-year-old Thaddeus Sam of Opelousas has been arrested after he allegedly beat a juvenile with brass knuckles on Sunday.

Spokesman Sergeant Clay Higgins with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says when officers responded, Sam threatened all of them and cursed at them, saying "I'll whip all y'all." In addition to witnesses confirming Sam's use of brass knuckles on the victim, Sgt. Higgins says he admitted to the attack after he was arrested.

Sam was released on $5,000 bond and is currently awaiting trial. He faces a charge of Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery.
