Person of Interest Named in New Iberia Shooting

UPDATE: 26-year-old Shaquille Daniels has been named as a person of interest in the May 9th shooting.

One person is dead and two juveniles are injured following a shooting late Saturday night in the 400 block of Silver Street.

In a press release, New Iberia Police PIO Captain John Babin says the victim died at a local hospital. The two juveniles suffered non-life threatening injuries from stray bullets that entered the home they were in near the shooting.

Authorities continue to investigate.
